Price-conscious 1983 Chateau La Tour Haut-Brion Cru Classe, Pessac-Leognan, Bottle (750ml)

This is a potentially good La Tour-Haut-Brion. However, it is lighter and more supple in texture than previous vintages of this wine. The 1983 is a product of the different approach to winemaking employed by the staff at Haut-Brion who controlled the vinification for the first time in this vintage. It is good with a medium-to-dark ruby color. The wine is spicy, soft, supple, and very approachable." RP Dec 1997
